Phone Exchange – Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing the Phone Exchange Program offered by S. Langstang Electronic. Our exchange program allows customers to trade in eligible devices toward the purchase of another device. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before proceeding with any exchange transaction.

1. How the Exchange Program Works

Customers may exchange an eligible smartphone or tablet and receive a trade-in value that can be applied toward the purchase of another device.

Participation in the exchange program is entirely voluntary. Customers are under no obligation to proceed if they are not satisfied with the offered exchange value or terms.

2. Phone Evaluation & Inspection

  • Customers must bring their device physically to our store for inspection.
  • Exchange values can only be confirmed after a complete assessment by our staff.
  • Online, phone, social media, or message-based quotations are estimates only and may change after inspection.
  • Every device will undergo physical and functional testing before an exchange is approved.

3. Eligible Devices for Exchange

We may accept:

  • Android smartphones
  • Apple iPhones
  • Selected tablets and mobile devices, subject to condition and market demand

We may refuse:

  • Stolen or blacklisted devices
  • Lost or network-blocked devices
  • Devices under active EMI, financing, lease, or loan agreements
  • Counterfeit, cloned, or modified devices
  • Devices with severe damage or major functional issues
  • Any device that fails inspection

4. Exchange Value Determination

The exchange value of a device is determined based on:

  • Current second-hand market value
  • Device model and age
  • Physical condition
  • Screen condition
  • Battery health
  • Hardware and software functionality
  • Market demand
  • Availability of original accessories, charger, and box (where applicable)

Exchange values are based solely on current market conditions and device condition. The original purchase price, sentimental value, or previous repair costs do not determine exchange value.

Any preliminary estimate may differ from the final value after inspection.

5. Difference Payment

If the exchange value of the old device is lower than the price of the device being purchased:

  • The customer must pay the remaining balance.
  • Full payment must be completed before the new device is handed over.
  • Additional charges may apply for accessories, warranties, installation services, or optional products.

6. Customer Responsibilities

Before submitting a device for exchange, customers must:

  • Back up all personal data.
  • Remove all linked accounts, including Google, Apple ID, Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, Realme, or similar accounts.
  • Disable security features such as iCloud Lock, Find My iPhone, Find My Device, FRP Lock, Activation Lock, or similar protections.
  • Perform a factory reset if requested by store staff.

S. Langstang Electronic is not responsible for any loss of data after a device has been submitted for exchange.

7. Identity Verification

For security and fraud-prevention purposes, customers may be required to provide a valid government-issued photo ID, including:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • EPIC (Voter ID Card)
  • Driving Licence
  • Passport

Customer information may be recorded for transaction verification and security purposes.

8. Ownership Declaration

By submitting a device for exchange, the customer confirms that:

  • They are the lawful owner of the device.
  • The device is free from financial obligations, disputes, or legal claims.
  • The information provided is accurate and complete.

Any false declaration may result in cancellation of the exchange transaction.

9. Final Inspection & Approval

All devices are subject to final inspection before approval.

Hidden defects, undisclosed damage, account locks, or functional issues discovered during testing may:

  • Reduce the exchange value.
  • Result in rejection of the device.
  • Require further verification before approval.

10. No Return After Completion

Once the exchange transaction has been completed and accepted by both parties:

  • The exchanged device becomes the property of S. Langstang Electronic.
  • The transaction is considered final.
  • Exchanged devices cannot be reclaimed, refunded, or returned unless required by applicable law.

11. Store Rights

S. Langstang Electronic reserves the right to:

  • Accept or reject any device.
  • Revise exchange values based on inspection results.
  • Refuse transactions suspected of fraud, theft, or unlawful activity.
  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue the exchange program at any time.
  • Update these Terms & Conditions without prior notice.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, S. Langstang Electronic shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of personal data.
  • Loss of profits or business opportunities.
  • Indirect or consequential losses.
  • Delays resulting from technical evaluations or verification procedures.

13. Final Decision

All decisions regarding device eligibility, exchange value, approval, rejection, and transaction completion shall be made solely by the management of S. Langstang Electronic and shall be final.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By proceeding with a phone exchange transaction, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
